Andrews grew up in Greenwood, and that makes her partial to the south side. Moreover, she is a proud Centre Grove Trojan similar to many family members before her. During her undergraduate studies at Indiana University-Bloomingtom, she went back on some Friday nights to report sideline for CG football games for the Centre Grove Sports Network. As a senior at IU, she coached the CG High School cheer squad.
Andrews graduated with a B. A in Telecommunications with a double emphasis in Industry and Management, and Design and Production. In addition to her telecom degree, she created a major called ‘social media journalism’ through the individualized Major program. For this major, she combined journalism, communication, marketing, and independent study courses.
Moreover, she remained active in numerous student organizations all 4 years at Indiana. Her favorite board to serve on was Women in Technology. She covered school sports on IUSTV, blogged for ‘We Are IU’, and was active in student political organizations. She continued he education at Mississippi State University for a master’s degree in meteorology, about a year after her graduation.

Furthermore, she became a member of the Gamma Theta Upsilon honor society in geography by maintaining a 4.0 in meteorology and mood. She is always interested in how weather affects lives, and she enjoys studying it on an interpersonal level. Her broadcast career started as a sideline reporter for Indiana’s Big Ten Network student crew during undergrad.
She then worked for IU Athletics, covering men’s basketball and football in the marketing department as an online reporter. Andrews loved radio broadcasting and interned at Indy’s ESPN radio affiliate with JMV her freshman year. After college, she became a reporter at WTWO-TV in Terre Haute, covering everything from politics to sports, to weather.WTWO had her fill in for the weather department one day, and she loved it so much that she went back to school to become a meteorologist!
Before returning home to Indiana, Andrews was the weekday morning meteorologist at ABC-36 in Lexington, Ky. for close to 3 years. As a Midwest meteorologist, she has experience covering all types of weather. Her favorite weather to forecast is winter storms. When she is not forecasting, she is usually playing Call of Duty or Fortnite with friends and family. Moreover, she spends a lot of time at the dog park with my sassy pup, Lexi. In her leisure time, she enjoys Hoosier sports, she is a gigantic Colts, Pacers, and race fan.
