During his time there, he helped cover the area’s controversial congressional race in 2020 as well as flooding that devasted part of the Mohawk Valley in 2019. His love for broadcast and journalism began in high school where he wrote for the school paper and took part in the school’s broadcasting club. Kearney attended and graduated from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse where he received his Associate’s degree in Electronic Media Communications.
