Boyer joined the Action News weather team in April 2021. Before that, she was an on-air meteorologist with 6abc’s partner, AccuWeather in State College, PA. While there, she could be seen nationally providing forecasts on all types of weather. Before that, she was a weekend meteorologist and multimedia journalist at WNEP-TV in Scranton, PA, and a multimedia journalist at WJAC-TV where she started her career.
Additionally, Brittany earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Mississippi State University as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Penn State University in Broadcast Journalism. Growing up near Philadelphia, she would go outside following storms to see how much snow had fallen. Furthermore, Brittany spent a summer in college interning in 6abc’s Programming Department.
Brittany is a Montgomery County native and her dream has always been to work at Action News. An award-winning on-air meteorologist, Brittany has extensive weather broadcasting experience that includes covering blizzards, flooding, tornado warnings, and more. Hundreds of thousands of people have relied on Brittany’s forecasts throughout her career.
Fascinated by the power of all types of weather, Brittany has always had an interest in winter weather. One of her sharpest memories was the blizzard of 1996 that crippled the Philadelphia area for days. She was fascinated by the power of the blizzard and how it had the ability to significantly impact the Delaware Valley.
As she got older, Brittany continued her fascination with weather, but her focus shifted to the science behind it. As a meteorologist, Brittany is trained in the science behind weather forecasting and effectively explains this to people. An avid skier, Brittany loves spending time outdoors. She is also a fitness enthusiast and enjoys traveling, fishing, running, and cooking.
