She graduated with a master’s degree in Media Management and completed her undergraduate degree in Multimedia Journalism. Throughout her college years, Destiny competed in pageants to gain public speaking experience and scholarship money.
She landed a spot in the Miss Arkansas pageant four times and made the Top 10 twice – even representing her school as Miss Arkansas State University. Back then, she could be found most weekends in the fall on the sidelines of the football field as a proud and spirited Red Wolves Dancer. Destiny started her journalism career as the weekend anchor and reporter for KAIT-TV in Jonesboro.

She is a second-generation journalist and, for a time, worked alongside her mother, who has anchored the news for three decades in her hometown. Additionally, Destiny is married to Roelf and has two fur babies, Charlie and Hazel. She loves spending time with family, trying new things, and traveling.
