She was lucky to land a full-time reporting job at WCIA-TV right after she graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She worked so hard to get that job. She did anything she thought would give her the experience needed to be a better journalist. It wasn’t always fun, but it proves that hard work does pay off.
