Patrick obtained a degree in Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University in December 2020. During his time there, he joined the Campus Weather Service, a student-run weather organization serving the university and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He focused on forecasting and communicating weather information to the community, eventually working his way up to the Vice President, managing the live broadcasts during severe weather and social media pages.
Patrick joined the Action News Now team as the Weekend Meteorologist and Weekday Weather Reporter in July of 2021. His adventure in weather began at a young age with a fascination with earth sciences and news media. Over time, he found his way to The Weather Channel with role models such as Jim Cantore and Stephanie Abrams.
Though growing up in the greater Seattle area of the Pacific Northwest, he fell in love with the weather on the West Coast and the challenge of forecasting for the many micro-climates the region brings. In his time, you can find him looking for a good hike, exploring certain aspects of fitness, playing a little Minecraft, hanging out with friends, and gorging himself full of a few too many doughnuts, cookies, and ice cream.
