She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture. After graduating she landed a job at WUSA9 as a production assistant but quickly began writing and producing for the morning shows. She came to the station in October 2019 as the weekend morning anchor and was promoted to the Monday through Friday morning anchor in September 2020.
Reporting and anchoring five days a week allows her the chance to develop the skills needed to succeed in each role every day. Randi also produced every show she anchored, in addition to shooting, editing, and writing any stories she covered. Randi misses all the good food she got to indulge in while working in the Bayou state. During her undergraduate years, She served as a reporter and anchor for VCU’s Monthly newscast Insight aired on PBS Richmond.
Additionally, she completed an Internship in Washington DC at WUSA 9 where she wore many hats in the newsroom. She also interned at the Tegna station while in college. She worked with the assignment desk, but would always try to go out with a reporter when the opportunity presented itself.
Randi started as a general assignment MMJ before being promoted to the weekend evening anchor. She was then promoted to the Monday – Friday morning anchor role and filled in for the main anchors when needed. During her free time, she loves going to the gym.
