She served as the weekend weather anchor for WXVT-TV in Greenville, MS, and the weekday weather anchor at WJCL-TV in Savannah, GA. Puente is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, the American Meteorological Society, and the National Weather Association. She is a New York native who still resides in her hometown.
