A native of Bristol, CT, Brittany is a graduate of Western New England University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in mass-media communications. She recently completed courses at Mississippi State University for the broadcast meteorology program. Brittany moved to the south from New England where she was the weekday morning anchor at ABC 40/FOX 6/CBS 3 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Additionally, she reported out in the field and was a member of the First Warning Weather team. Before joining WGGB, Brittany worked at WTNH-TV and MyTV 9 in New Haven, CT where she won the 2011 “MyTV9 Star” competition. She also achieved the title of Miss Connecticut 2010 and participated in the national Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas.
When she is not busy with the news, Brittany enjoys music. In Western Massachusetts, she was the singer in an acoustic duo called “Smith & Decker.”Brittany enjoys traveling, adventures, the outdoors, and staying active with CrossFit. Brittany has finished three full marathons and often pushes wheelchair athletes while running.
She also has completed century rides on her bicycle to show support for fallen officers. For the past few years, Brittany has traveled to Haiti with a team of doctors to run medical clinics in isolated villages in the country. Brittany has a Maltese named Louie. She loves the Red Sox, and New England Patriots, and is looking forward to college football season in Alabama!
