She earned her B.A. in Communication Studies at Westmont College in 2021 and fell in love with the community while pursuing her undergraduate degree. She has wanted to pursue a career in broadcast journalism her entire life, but her love for local news peaked while in college. Christa was a first-year college student during the destructive Thomas Fire and tragic Montecito mudslides. She turned to her local news station, which happened to be News Channel 3-12, for answers.
While in college, Christa was a newsroom and creative services intern at KTVU Fox 2 in Oakland. As an avid sports fan, Christa was a live Sports Broadcaster for Westmont Sports Network.
