He attended Virginia State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Communication. During his time at the university, he became a key figure at WVST Sports Radio, where he provided play-by-play and color commentary for the school’s sports teams. On December 6, 2021, Worrell joined KREX as a Weekend Sports Anchor and Reporter.
In 2009, he gained valuable experience at NY1 News as a Freelance News Assistant. During this time, he learned how to shoot and cover a wide range of stories in New York City. One of the highlights of his career was covering the 75th Heisman Trophy ceremony. In the same year, he worked at News 12 as a Sports Videographer/Reporter, focusing on the local sports scene.
