Graves joined the WAFF 48 News team in June of 2019, he is a reporter and weekend morning anchor. He’s excited to call the Tennessee Valley his new home and tell the stories of the people living here. Eric was born and raised in Kansas City, MO, but called Columbia, MO home for the past four years while he went to the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri.
While at Mizzou, Eric worked at KOMU TV, the NBC affiliate for mid-Mo. He was an anchor, reporter, and producer and covered stories like the Branson Duck Boat tragedy, Missouri Governor Eric Greitens’ Resignation, and the 2018 Missouri Senate Race. After graduating in May of 2019, Eric was excited to further his journalism career, meeting new people and getting the opportunity to tell new stories.
Eric first wanted to be a journalist because he loves learning about people and sharing their interesting and moving stories. He looks forward to continuing to do what he loves in the Tennessee Valley. Away from the camera, Eric loves to play basketball, go on hikes, watch movies, travel, and eat good food. He also loves all things sports and is an avid Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and Missouri Tigers fan!
