Leaving Pittsburgh was the hardest decision he ever made, but in 2011, WCVB in Boston hired him as a news and sports anchor and reporter – and he immediately had a front-row seat to some of the biggest news stories of our generation. He was one of the first anchors on the air when the bombs went off at the Boston Marathon finish line – and covered the city’s comeback. There he co-anchored the weekend morning newscasts for “EyeOpener”, NewsCenter 5’s top-rated. He also served as a sports reporter for the weekday editions. During his time there, he covered everything from the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting to the Patriots losing a Super Bowl to a record-setting winter to Superstorm Sandy. Additionally, he worked for KDKA-AM, a CBS-owned and operated radio station as an occasional talk radio host.
