Marler began his broadcasting career in Nebraska as a sports anchor and reporter. He also worked as a weekend news anchor in 2009 and is currently the morning anchor on News Channel 11. After graduating from the University of Nebraska, Marler produced a local sports program. He then worked as a sports anchor at KLKN and KHGI (NTV) in Nebraska, followed by nearly 10 years as a weekend sports anchor at News Channel 11.
Marler has traveled the country covering some of the biggest events in sports, including a memorable event where he watched Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player in one of their final events together. He also enjoys the excitement of Touchdown Friday Night.
