In December 2013, Suga was diagnosed with appendicitis and had to undergo surgery at Severance Hospital in Sinchon on the 9th. He was discharged on the 17th but was readmitted on the 26th due to inflammation at the surgical site. As a result, he couldn’t attend any year-end music festivals that year.
In December 2016, Suga experienced an ear injury when he tripped over a door threshold. Following the doctor’s advice, he took a one-week break from performing and participating in choreography, including year-end festivals, to ensure proper healing of the wound.

Suga initially joined Big Hit Entertainment as a music producer and underwent three years of training alongside fellow members J-Hope and RM.
