Hailing from one of the earliest affluent Indian families to settle in their community, Patel’s upbringing involved living on a compound with more than 20 family members across three adjacent houses.
However, he has since moved out to reside with Pooja, his partner. While successfully managing his business, he is now facing the pressure of setting a wedding date. In addition to being a reality TV personality on “Family Karma,” Patel has made a name for himself as a thriving entrepreneur, all thanks to his collaboration with his father.
Shaan further elaborated, “I just started building stuff and selling stuff. So I design, build, and sell.” This dynamic partnership between Shaan and his father, Dipak Patel, led to the establishment of the Tanin Group, which, as per their website, specializes in being “a full-service design, construction, and real estate firm, specializing in South Florida.”
Shaan pointed out, “We build semi-luxury brand new construction,” and he’s pleased with the progress they’re making. He noted, “People love our products, and we’re expanding into multiple cities, primarily targeting young professionals.” One of these cities is his hometown, Miami. In 2020, the Miami Herald reported that the Tanin Group was embarking on a $4 million townhouse development project there.
As per the Tanin Group’s website, this project will encompass “eight premium townhomes built in two phases” and will feature “premium finishes, expansive rooftop terraces, and contemporary character.” Furthermore, Shaan regularly updates his Instagram with content related to his company, showcasing design plans, the construction process, and finished projects. It is evident that Shaan remains deeply committed to his business, even when the cameras aren’t rolling.
