Under his leadership, the WMDT sports department won four straight Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association awards for its year-round local sports coverage. Over the years, he led coverage for some of the area’s biggest sports stories including NCAA national championships, the NFL and NBA drafts, and high school state title runs.
