Berman is the co-anchor of CNN’s morning show Early Start with Christine Romans and @THISHOUR with Michaela Pereira. Before coming to CNN, he worked at ABC News since 1995 and has appeared on television there since 2001. He was a regular contributor to all of ABC’s broadcasts, including “World News with Diane Sawyer,” “Good Morning America,” “Nightline,” and “20/20” and contributed to ABCNews.com. He replaced Chris Cuomo as its regular co-anchor, as a weekday relief co-anchor of CNN’s News Day early morning news program for several years, having Cuomo departed on the 24th May 2018.

Berman joined ABC News in a junior office post, rising to become Chief Writer for Peter Jennings, the long-term newscaster of ABC World News Tonight after leaving Havard University.
