Majestic Storm Biography
Majestic joined 40/29 News as Sunrise Weather Anchor in April 2022. She’s used to the question. She hears it all the time. And she gets it. Her name is unusual, especially for a weather forecaster. And the answer is yes it’s her real name. Majestic started her career forecasting in her hometown of Spokane Washington in 2018.
This is where she has been forecasting weather for more than three years covering Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. She was previously the Weather Anchor for KAYU’s “Good Day” and KHQ Local News where she learned how to forecast for the Pacific Northwest.
She feels lucky to be able to begin her career in the town that helped raise her. Majestic graduated from Washington State University as a first-generation college student where she received a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Majestic also forecasts each weekday for a statewide morning show called “Wake Up Montana.” Some of her best weather experiences as a forecaster have been from Montana. From wind chills of fifty below to tennis ball-sized hail, the extreme weather across Big Sky Country made her fall in love with severe weather.
Majestic Storm Career
She interned at her hometown station KHQ in Spokane Washington and was hired as a Weather Anchor after graduation where she took on main morning roles. Majestic is currently finishing her degree at Mississippi State University where she will obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology.
Her love for weather began as a young girl. From seeing several feet of snowfall in a given day to watching lightning from thunderstorms light up the field behind her childhood home. She loved the changing seasons across the Pacific Northwest.
Fun Fact: She didn’t know she had an interesting weather name until after she had already become fascinated with science. She often gets asked if her siblings have unique names too, and the answer is no. She is the only one out of four siblings with a hippie name! Majestic doesn’t have kids of her own but she is the momma of a big three-year-old Great Dane named Annie and a 14-year-old cat named Kiki.
And, yes, the cat is in charge! Majestic is trading the Cascades for the Ozarks and couldn’t be more excited to call Northwest Arkansas home. It’s been a dream of hers to live in the South and learn about tornadoes.
