Mike has been a broadcast journalist for nearly 40 years. The far majority of this time has been coverage of the people and events in Southeast Alabama, Northwest Florida, and Southwest Georgia. Keeping up with what’s taking place in the news and sports in our viewing area has always been Mike’s passion. He now continues the tradition for WDHN. Gurspan completes his high school studies successfully. He later joined football and participated in the Gators football team. From there he joined various broadcasting teams for his dream job. His passion for broadcasting started at a tender age.
He began his broadcasting career in the 1970s in Northwest Florida. He joined the WTVY team in 1992 and was a trusted member for many decades. Additionally, he worked for WRGX for many years. As the bureau chief for Coffee and Geneva counties, he covered news on the Enterprise tornado tragedy in 2007, the Samson murders in 2009, and the floods of 1994 among others. Gurspan has successfully broadcasted for over four decades. Therefore, he has gained a lot of experience in his career mostly in South Alabama, and Northwest Florida.
