Alexandra graduated from the University of Miami with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists, Alex devotes her time and voice to shining light on underrepresented communities and issues.
Before coming to KUSA, Alexandra anchored 10 hours of news in Seattle, WA at KCPQ. During her time in Seattle, Alex covered historic wildfires, police reform, homelessness, the opioid crisis, and groundbreaking elections.
The Texas native has also worked in newsrooms in her hometown of Houston, TX, Dayton, OH, and Lafayette, LA. Alex’s start in front of the camera began long before her new career. Alex has been on TV airwaves through local and national TV shows and commercials since age 10.
Some of her proudest moments include producing educational programming for NASA’s Johnston Space Center and hosting a multi-part Emmy-winning documentary for PBS on domestic violence. When not on air, Alex reads as many books as possible watches as many movies as possible, and buys as many shoes as possible.
