Before making the move to Denver, Jordan worked as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter at KAMR, the NBC affiliate in Amarillo, Texas. While there, he covered everything from political stories to breaking news including a capital murder trial and an active shooter inside a Walmart – both of which garnered national attention.
Jordan joined the 9NEWS family in March 2017. He says it seems surreal to be working alongside journalists he’s admired for so long, but it’s an opportunity he’ll never take for granted. Jordan is naturally curious about the world around him.
It’s a trait that ultimately led to his decision to become a journalist. He’s what you would describe as a “news nerd,” constantly checking his phone for updates about stories happening around his community and across the globe.
He also embarrassingly admits his DVR is almost full of recordings of NBC Nightly News. When he’s not updating you on the latest happenings across the state, he’s almost certainly exploring Colorado’s beautiful mountains, rivers, or excellent breweries.
